Big Lottery Fund – Women and Girls Initiative

CWASU will be continuing their Big Lottery funded work on Women and Girls Initiative (WGI), in partnership with The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations and DMSS Research, to deliver evaluation and learning support to the 63 projects funded by the Big Lottery Fund to support and empower women and girls facing violence, abuse, exploitation and mental health issues

January 8, 2018

We will be supporting, over a period of five years, the Women and Girls Initiative (WGI) grant holders through
  • Increased provision of holistic, person-centred approaches for women and girls
  • Increased role and voice for women and girls in co-producing services
  • Greater number of women and girls being supported through the provision of improved specialist support
  • Better quality of evidence for what works in empowering women and girls

We will provide support in a variety of ways:

  • One-to-one support for grant-holders
  • An online learning hub to enable collective conversations
  • Action Learning Sets
  • Masterclasses and workshops
  • Publication of regular reports/briefings
  • A national conference in 2022 to showcase and share project achievements and learning
