Evaluation of the Operation and Effectiveness of the Pilot Rape and Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Glasgow (Archway)

This study will be an outcome and process evaluation to assess the operation and effectiveness of the first SARC in Scotland, and will contribute to ongoing development of responses to sexual violence across Scotland.

A multi-methodological approach will be used drawing on: data before Archway was established on reporting, prosecution and convictions in Glasgow; documentation and interviews on the establishment and operations of the new service; case tracking; documentation and analysis of forensic findings and practices; the perspectives of service users; the perspectives of staff and stakeholders. Protocols and research tools are being developed in consultation with the project and Steering Group.
